Why replace instead of patch
Patching works when the damage is one or two sections. When the bottom course is rotting on every wall, the paint will not hold, or the siding is the original 30-year-old vinyl, replacement costs less over ten years than chasing repairs. We will tell you which one you actually need. See siding repair if it is a section or two.

Siding installation questions
How much does new siding cost in Atlanta?
A single wall or elevation usually runs a few thousand dollars. Whole-house fiber cement (James Hardie) replacement on a typical Southwest Atlanta home is generally $15,000 to $30,000 depending on size, stories and trim. We quote line by line from photos or a site visit.
Hardie, vinyl or wood — which should I pick?
Fiber cement lasts longest and holds paint best in Georgia humidity. Vinyl is the lowest upfront cost. Wood looks great but needs the most upkeep. We install all three and will tell you straight which fits your house and budget.
Do you replace rotted sheathing under the old siding?
Yes. Once the old siding is off we inspect the sheathing and framing, replace anything soft, add house wrap and flashing, then install the new siding. You do not want new siding over rot.
Can you match my existing siding for a partial replacement?
Usually. We match profile, exposure and color on one elevation or one wall so it blends with the rest of the house. If a match is not possible we will say so before you commit.
How long does siding installation take?
One elevation is typically one to three days. A whole house is one to two weeks depending on size, trim and paint.
